Yes, it is rainy and Spring is on its way. That means — Wedding Season is coming! If you plan to get married this year, you need to start your planning now. For most wedding sites, caterers, and wedding dress shops, you need to reserve your date at least 6 months in advance. Things fill up quickly.

Please call us to set up a meeting with our chef to discuss your food vision and we will see how we can help meet your needs. Call us at (707) 665-9472.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our first Solar/Harvest Concert! The bands were fantastic and so was the food and drink! And could we have better weather??? One man who was out here from Boston commented how amazing it was to see people sitting outside listening to music in October. This is why we love California! A huge thank you to all the bands that played: Hadley Hill, Indosurf, The Underachievers, Mike Sullivan and friends, and Randy and the Special Agents. Thanks to our sponsors Westcoast Solar, GPM, and Liberty Doors, and a big thank you to Mario and Dave Armstrong for setting everything up for the bands.
Unfortunately, our own Gerard was very, very ill so The Rotten Tomatoes couldn't play. Happily, he is better and we look forward to hearing him and the band on Sat. at our Halloween Party.

September is a very popular month for weddings! So far we've catered 6 weddings and this month isn't over yet! Weddings are some of the most fun events to cater. While many wedding traditions endure, we're seeing more and more people creating events that better reflect their personalities and lifestyles. Being a part of this is a privilege and while we work hard to make sure our part in the wedding runs smoothly, we also have a lot of fun.
If you are planning a wedding right now, remember a few things:
1. Make it your wedding. Don't worry about what other people are doing or will think. This is your day and the next step in your life. You want your wedding to reflect you and your future spouse. If you want a wedding on a beach with finger foods instead of a sit down dinner, then do it!
2. Ask questions when you are searching for caterers, florists, photographers, etc. Make sure they can do what you want, that they are professional, and that they are people you feel you can work with.
3. Get the venue and the wedding dress first. Venues often have to be reserved a year in advance and for some reason, wedding dresses can take months to make. Get those two things out of the way and the everything else will fall into place.
4. Have fun and don't get overwhelmed. There are so many books, bridal fairs, and "experts" out there all saying you "must do ..." for your wedding to be a success. It can make your head spin. Make sure you have the basics — a site, the food, your wedding clothes — and remember that the important thing is you and your partner are starting a new phase of your lives together.

Posted - Sep 14,2009 What a weekend!
Where did the rain come from? Not that we weren't excited to see it — we desperately need more of it — but when you have an outdoor wedding for 200 and an outdoor dinner for 2,000 bike riders planned for the weekend, it raises the stress level a bit. Luckily, the rain held off until later that night and Sunday afternoon. Whew!
We also attended the Sonoma County Bridal Fair on Sunday. Very nice turnout, though the rain seemed to slow things down later on. The fair is always fun, not only because we get to talk to hundreds of brides and grooms as they plan their happy day, but also because we love to see the familiar faces of all the Sonoma County caterers, djs, florists, bakers, etc. Everyone caught up and shared stories about how they were coping with this current economy. While some familiar faces were missing, it was fantastic to see how many businesses are still alive and kicking. We all know how hard Sonoma County was hit by the housing crash. We all see the empty storefronts throughout our communities, so it was wonderful to see the fighting spirit of each and every business owner at the fair.
